Opportunity Details:
Under the supervision of the department manager and Senior Underwriter, review applications submitted for adherence to internal underwriting guidelines and standards. Working knowledge of the merchant processing and/or payment card industries is preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct due diligence reviews of applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Validate documents provided with new applications using online publications and resources provided.
  • Review and analyze credit and financial reports, financial statements, balance sheets, tax returns, etc.
  • Prepare written summary based on analysis of applicant/customer information in accordance with the department procedures.
  • Apply appropriate underwriting criteria to applications in accordance with published credit policy to ensure financial exposure is appropriately mitigated.
  • Utilize skills in problem identification, analysis, and resolution using available resources to accomplish duties.
    Review merchant applications to make sure all the necessary information is present, both on paperwork and website
  • Review applications with Risk Management and make applicable recommendations for loan approval or denial.
  • Assist in the completion of weekly and monthly reports for the Underwriting department.
  • Assist with conducting audits of completed files.
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of Underwriting experience in Banking, Finance, Title, or Merchant Services field preferred
